Advancing Gender and Diversity Inclusive STEAM Education — Brussels

STEAMbrace and its sister Horizon Europe project STREAM IT join forces for Advancing Gender and Diversity Inclusive STEAM Education, a one-day event bringing the two projects’ communities together under the campaign #ShapingInclusiveSTEAM. STEAMbrace (Horizon Europe grant 101132652), led by the Zaragoza publishing house Edelvives, builds gender-responsive STEAM learning for students aged 11 to 18; STREAM IT works on inclusive STEAM education from the same Horizon Europe programme.

The day opens with a plenary session and a European keynote, then runs two round tables — “Building Sustainable Gender-Responsive STEAM Education Ecosystems” from STEAMbrace and “Shaping the Future of Inclusive STEAM Education” from STREAM IT — followed by parallel afternoon workshops on the STEAM Alliance, digital learning assets, classroom inequalities and European collaboration. It closes with a session reporting back and discussing what comes after both projects end.
