Il restauro delle colonne in granito rosa di Assuan del portico che circondava la piazza, innalzate di nuovo con la tecnica dell’“anastilosi”, grazie a spezzoni di colonne rinvenute durante gli scavi del 1998-2000, e i recenti scavi della cella del Tempio della Pace, ci permettono di apprezzare il foro voluto dall’imperatore Vespasiano per celebrare la vittoriosa conclusione delle guerre giudaiche nel 70 d.C.
