Death Anniversary: Andrea Zani — September 28, 1757
He died near Casalmaggiore on 28 September 1757 when his carriage overturned during a journey. His published op. 2 sinfonias and concertos, alongside his twelve cello concertos, stand among the earliest works to introduce classical sonata-allegro elements into the north Italian instrumental tradition.
