The cathedral of Notre-Dame de Paris was devastated by a very serious fire that destroyed the roof and part of the apse, built between 1163 and 1180, is the oldest part of the cathedral and was remodeled in the 13th century with the construction of radial chapels, buttresses and flying buttresses.
