Grande apertura: Palazzo Zaguri a Venezia dal 31 marzo 2018

On 31 March 2018, Palazzo Zaguri in Campo San Maurizio, Venice, opened its doors after a two-year conservation restoration, becoming one of the city’s most striking permanent private museum spaces.

The opening exhibition told the story of the Republic of Venice through the theme of its criminal justice. Objects and documentation left the State Archive, museums and private collections for the first time, alongside evocative settings, unpublished testimonies and documents, death machines and plastinated bodies — elements that made Venice Secrets a show unlike any other, built around mystery, secrecy, death and darkness.
