History
Berlei House was constructed in the early 1920s and occupied by Berlei United Limited from 1922 onwards. The company, a hosiery and corsetry manufacturer, anchored the building’s original function. Later, the structure was adapted for general office use and housed the Sydney headquarters of engineering consultancy Gutteridge Haskins & Davey. Today it operates as a facility for Curtin University following comprehensive renovation.
