History
Frederic Storck and Cecilia Cuțescu-Storck commissioned their own house as a workspace and family residence. The architect Alexandru Clavel completed the structure in 1912–1913, creating a modernist setting that reflected the couple’s artistic vision. After the artists’ decision to donate their collection to the government, the museum opened in 1951. Currently held by brothers Alvaro and Alexandru Botez, the property is now lent to the Bucharest Municipality Museum to ensure the artworks remain accessible and properly conserved.
