History
The church was constructed to designs by renowned Swedish architect Ferdinand Boberg. Swedish businessman Knut Wallenberg financed the project and formally inaugurated the building on May 18, 1913, on the occasion of his 60th birthday. The timing marked both a personal milestone and a cultural contribution to the region.
