History
The depot was constructed in 1912 to serve as the northern terminus of the Nevada–California–Oregon Railway, marking Lakeview’s emergence as a railway junction. Following the consolidation of regional rail operations, Southern Pacific Railroad acquired and managed the station from 1928 onward. The depot closed in 1975 as passenger rail service declined. Since 1978, the building has been repurposed as a law office and later as a private residence, preserving its physical fabric while adapting to contemporary use.
