History
Perpignan architect Léon Baille designed the hotel during the height of the art deco movement. The building was completed in 1932 and operated as a hotel for fifty years before closing in 1983. In 1987, recognizing its architectural and historical importance, the French government protected the structure under the national list of historic monuments. Part of the building has since been restored and now welcomes visitors and guests, with select original interior features preserved.
