Bel-Air Fine Art Dorsoduro is a contemporary commercial art gallery in the heart of Venice’s museum quarter, situated on Calle della Chiesa just steps from the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and Campo San Vio.
History
Bel-Air Fine Art opened its first gallery in Geneva in 2004, gradually expanding into prominent European art destinations and alpine resort towns before establishing a permanent presence in Venice. Directed by François and Grégory Chabanian, the international group presents established contemporary masters alongside emerging talents. In Venice, the group operates dedicated exhibition spaces in both San Marco and Dorsoduro, placing contemporary sculpture and pop art in direct dialogue with historic Venetian architecture.
What you see
The Dorsoduro gallery is housed behind an exposed brick and Istrian stone facade on Calle della Chiesa (civico 728). Through its wide street-level display windows, visitors encounter an eclectic selection of contemporary figurative and pop-art works: sculpted portrait busts covered in comic strips, vibrant pop sculptures, lenticular artworks referencing icons from Warhol to Basquiat, and large-scale mixed-media wall installations. The bright, minimalist gallery interior provides a clean modern counterpoint to the quiet residential streets of Dorsoduro outside.
