The villa was designed by architect Demetrio Petrucci (1868–1951) and decorated by artist Galileo Chini (1873–1956), two key figures in Italian Art Nouveau. Built in the early years of the twentieth century, it represents a period when Viareggio emerged as a centre of Liberty style architecture and decoration.

The building’s composition unfolds across three floors, with strong vertical emphasis characteristic of Liberty design. The most remarkable feature is the ceramic apparatus adorning the façade. Below the eaves runs a band depicting putti surrounded by intricate floral ornamentation. At first-floor level, a panel presents a female figure in the guise of Flora, rendered with the stillness of a caryatid. She is encircled by meticulous, stylised botanical decoration reflecting the Vienna Secession aesthetic—an approach echoing solutions favoured by Gustav Klimt.
