In August 2021, the technology education association EvoDigitale, in partnership with Oasis, announced five scholarships worth €2,000 each for its Blockchain Elite course, a comprehensive 410-hour programme combining theoretical and practical instruction in blockchain development.
Italy currently faced a shortage of 272,000 digital jobs, with expectations of growth around 20 per cent annually. Blockchain developers ranked among the highest-earning professionals in the technology sector globally. In the United States, Canada and other non-European countries, blockchain professionals earned between 150,000 and 200,000 dollars annually. In England, salaries averaged around 90,000 euros, while in Italy they averaged approximately 50,000 euros annually.
Course design and instructors
The Blockchain Elite course, presented as the most comprehensive and authoritative blockchain training programme in Italy at the time, was designed for both experienced developers working in other fields and those starting from scratch. Instruction covered blockchain, cybersecurity, networking, databases, social media, data analysis and software development, delivered by internationally recognised specialists in these areas. The first edition had sold out completely before the second began on 18 September 2021.
