Dosio Vineyards

A producer of Piedmont wines established in 1974 on the hillsides of La Morra, commanding views across the Langhe region toward the Alps.

At a glance

Dosio Vineyards occupies a five-hundred-meter elevation in the heart of the Langhe region. The estate commands panoramic vistas over the plains of Cuneo and Turin, with the Alps—from the Maritimes to Monte Rosa—visible on the horizon. The operation combines a renovated eighteenth-century farmhouse with modern vineyard management and contemporary winemaking facilities.

History

Founded in 1974 out of passion and hobby, the vineyard has evolved into a respected producer of world-renowned Piedmont wines. The original farmhouse dates to the mid-eighteenth century and underwent complete renovation while preserving its ancient timber beams. New plantations have replaced older vineyards, expanding the estate’s original holdings and production capacity.

What you see

The restored farmhouse retains period timber work within its structure, a testament to its eighteenth-century origins. The estate includes modern winery facilities integrated alongside traditional architecture. Vineyard terraces step across the hillsides, ordered by variety and replanting phase. The elevated position affords unobstructed views toward Turin and the Alpine massif.

Cultural significance

Dosio represents the modern evolution of small-scale Piedmont viticulture. The vineyard produces Dolcetto, Nebbiolo for Barolo, Barbera, Freisa, Merlot, and Cabernet designated for Langhe Doc wines. Its location within the Langhe hills—a UNESCO World Heritage site—connects the estate to the region’s viticultural identity and centuries-old winemaking tradition.
