Paul Grohmann, a Viennese climber, achieved the first recorded ascent, guided by the Ampezzan alpine guides Santo Siorpaes and Angelo Dimai. This early mountaineering expedition marked a milestone in the exploration of the high Dolomites during the golden age of alpine climbing.
