Bolzano Fair (in German Messe Bozen) was born in 1948 as a trade fair.
It is ideally located, in the center of the Alpine Arc, in a bilingual region, and thus acts as a meeting point between companies from the German-speaking and Italian-speaking areas.

The architectural project was conceived by architects Claudio Lucchin and Roberto D'ambrogio.
The events held here mainly concern the Alpine economy: hotel reception, winter sports, Alpine agriculture and industry, as well as sustainable construction.

The fair annually attracts more than 2,500 exhibitors and 220,000 visitors from all over Europe.
To allow a better railway connection with the city center and with the rest of the region, the Bolzano Sud station was set up.
