A unique collection of historic locomotives and carriages exhibited in nineteenth-century pavilions overlooking the Gulf of Naples.
In this place the history of the Italian railways was born. On 3 October 1839, the first railway track in Italy was inaugurated in the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies.
It was 7,411 meters long and connected Naples to Portici, on the same route as the Naples-Salerno line, which today runs alongside the Museum area.
In 14 thousand square meters, 55 vehicles are housed between steam locomotives, (ENTER the links to see the 360 ??° immersive images) carriages and "Littorine", railway memorabilia, model trains and the large model "Trecentotreni" 18 meters long and wide 2.
