Little Island is New York's revolutionary new “floating park”, opened on May 21, 2021.
Built on a very particular structure, suspended over the Hudson River, it contains paths with rare species of flowers and plants, restaurants, an amphitheater for outdoor performances, all with an unparalleled view of the city.
It is the first great creation in New York after the pandemic, it can be visited for free (by reservation) and promises to be one of the most curious and suggestive attractions among the "atypical" ones in the city.
Little Island was built near Pier 55 in Manhattan (Pier 55 was the original name of the project).
We are on the west (left) side of Manhattan if we look at it from above, so above the Hudson River, as an area at the height of the Meatpacking District, and Chelsea Market, therefore an area of city and tourist interest, which you will surely find yourself in visit anyway.
