Holograms, infinity rooms, anti-gravity rooms and deceptions that you never even imagined existed: an incredible world awaits you in the Croatian capital to show you that nothing is as it appears. Dozens of attractions are ready to challenge the eye and the brain, in experiences that make you smile and think. Between kaleidoscopes, optical illusions and objects bordering on the diabolical, don't forget to test yourself in the intelligent game room with tricks and puzzles for all ages.
The museum is not very large and is spread over two floors. An explanatory panel in four languages is affixed next to each installation: Croatian, English, German and Italian, in order to better understand what you are seeing and to have an explanation of the reason for the optical illusion.
On the entrance level, the main illusions are certainly the "Beuchet chair" on which you will seem small for a game of perspectives and the "head on a tray" in which your head will be served for lunch.
On the second floor there are many panels with the classic optical illusions that you find around on the internet, an explanation is also available for these.
The illusions that you absolutely must try in this area of the museum are "the room of infinity" or a room with full-height mirror walls that give the feeling of being in an infinite space, the "Ames room" in which, positioning yourself at the corners of the room, you will appear dwarves or giants and the "tilted room" (anti-gravity room in English) where you will test your sense of balance.
Another illusion that deserves is the kaleidoscope. A simple three-sided parallelepiped whose internal surface is made up entirely of mirrors. Approach the two open sides and enjoy the show.
