The Lavazza Museum is one of the most recent business museums in Turin.
Located in the Aurora district, it is located in the Nuvola Lavazza complex, the new business center of the coffee manufacturer of the same name.
Inaugurated in 2018, the museum, designed by the international studio of Ralph Appelbaum, allows you to become aware of the culture of coffee by retracing, even in an interactive way, both the history of the Lavazza family and that of the Italian industry of the twentieth century with reference to the entire supply chain some coffee.
The museum exhibit develops on a two-storey circular path and is divided into 5 specific areas, all equipped with interactive installations and characterized by specific themes:
- Casa Lavazza that is the story of the more than 120 years of history of the Lavazza family, of the productivity of coffee and of the development of the brand;
- the Factory with the sounds, colors and aromas of coffee; from plantations to harvesting to the methods of production and distribution of the different varieties;
- the Piazza with the design and the different coffee machines;
- the Atelier with the Carousel, the sets and the testimonials of the advertisements and with the media interactivity of the cameras;
- the Universe with a 360 ° immersion in the different settings related to the world of coffee.
The museum is equipped with panels, light and sound screens and other technological installations, which through a special cup of coffee, allow the visitor to be actively involved and interact during the visit through stories, curiosities and anecdotes.
