CulturalHeritageOnline: Museo del Confetto “Giovanni Mucci”

Museo del Confetto “Giovanni Mucci”

It all began way back in 1894, the year in which the enterprising young Nicola Mucci, inheriting the deep passion transmitted to him by his father Raffaele, fulfilled his dream, opening the first laboratory for the production of confetti, chocolate and candies, in the heart of the ancient village of city of Andria.

The Mucci family, after 120 years, is still directly committed to guaranteeing its sugared almonds incomparable quality and taste. Where it all began, today, the Confetto Museum stands, established in 2005 and strongly desired by the current heirs, who intended to honor and perpetuate a heritage of goodness and memory over time.

In January 2011, a decree of the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities was declared a particularly important asset of cultural interest.
