Villa Tacchi

The 4-star Hotel Padova Villa Tacchi is located in Villalta, which together with Gazzo, Grossa, Gaianigo and Grantortino gathered in the municipality of Gazzo (in the province of Padua). The history of the current 4-star hotel in Padua began at the end of the 1600s, when it was built by the will of the wealthy Guzzo Beretta family, who owned a 400-hectare property all the time. The latter's son, Giovanbattista Muttoni, in 1810 sold all the fields on his property, including the villa and the Chapel of Santa Croce, to the nobleman Antonio Cabianca from Vicenza.

In 1878, by deed of sale of all the property passed to the mobile family of the De Tacchi from Rovereto, who settled there in their residence attracted by the convenient location of the villa located near Vicenza and Padua. Several deeds of sale followed, up to the current property. The most impressive restoration works of the Hotel Padova Villa Tacchi occurred in the 1990s, with the structural coating of the covers, and the insurance and waterproofing of the same.

The interventions are therefore concentrated on the internal structures, reinforced and restructured while maintaining the most significant architectural and cultural characteristics intact. The premises of the La Taverna restaurant and the Stemmi room have been obtained from the innovative rustic outbuildings, once used for the storage of agricultural products and pets. The floors on the ground floor, in Venetian mosaic, were executed with great skill by the best local craftsmen, following the same techniques and using the same materials used in 1500 in Padua.
