The Museum of the Charterhouse, born in 1993 on the initiative of the monastic community of Serra San Bruno (Vibo Valentia), aims to be a link and a connection between monastic life and the world.
It is a door that the monks opened in order to welcome pilgrims and tourists in a space of reflection and knowledge.
An opening through which, whoever reaches Serra San Bruno, can access a way of life and a world out of the ordinary.
In nine hundred years, thousands of monks, starting with San Bruno, founder of the Ordinesino, have lived in this place, leaving traces of their silent presence in the environment that hosted them.
We find signs of this spirituality of communion in the woods that do not walk the monastery, in the churches and religious traditions of this small mountain town.
The Museum is the door through which the world and the monks meet in a way that does not distort the retired life of the former and enriches the human and spiritual experience of the latter.
