The Brandhorst Museum was founded on May 21, 2009 and is located in the Maxvorstadt district of Munich.
It is part of the great museums of the Kunstareal which also include the Old Picture Gallery and the New Picture Gallery.
It hosts exhibitions of modern paintings, sculptures and photographs, multimedia works and installations.
