The Bregenzer Festspiele (Bregenz Festival) is a performing arts festival held every July and August in Bregenz in Austria.
The festival was founded in 1946. Since December 2003, David Pountney has been the artistic director of the festival. In 2010, the festival offered around 100 shows that attracted an audience of nearly 200,000 people.
Furthermore, in April and May 2008, the scenes for the 22nd James Bond film Quantum of Solace were shot on the Seebühne during a performance of Tosca and in June 2008 the German public television ZDF, during the 2008 edition of the Championship Europeo di Calcio, used the floating stage of the event to host the studio program dedicated to the event.
