Testimonials and interactive chronicles of the turbulent history of London from pre-Roman times to the present.
The Museum of London documents the history of London from prehistory to the present day. It is located near the Barbican Center and a few minutes walk from the Saint Paul Cathedral.
The museum was opened in 1976 as part of the Barbican Estate, displaying collections previously held by Guildhall Guildhalls and objects from other museums such as the London Museum which was located in Kensington Palace.
The architects Philip Powell and Hidalgo Moya have adopted a particular exhibiting method which includes an obligatory itinerary that chronologically shows the finds from prehistory to the present day.
