The Duca di Martina National Ceramic Museum is a museum in Naples dedicated to decorative arts.
It has been housed since 1927 in the Villa Floridiana al Vomero.
The rich collection of objects, collected in the second half of the nineteenth century by Placido de Sangro, Duke of Martina and donated to the city of Naples in 1911 by his nephew, Placido de Sangro conte dei Marsi, happily reflects the climate of enthusiasm and renewed interest in the so-called minor arts that spread in Europe at that time.
The Duke of Martina, an admirer and connoisseur of all kinds of artifacts, bought objects in the major European capitals, gathering, starting from the mid-nineteenth century, an impressive collection of minor artistic artifacts: glass, leather, coral, ivory and above all porcelain and majolica .

the museum is closed on Tuesdays
At the end of the park, the exit for museum visitors is exclusively from the gate of Via A. Falcone, 171.
