Lake of Fedaia

Lake Fedaia bears the same name as the Pass that connects the Val di Fassa to the Agordino, and therefore the province of Trento to that of Belluno.

A mirror of water set in a breathtaking landscape: the Queen of the Dolomites, the Marmolada, with its glacier, is majestically reflected on Lake Fedaia.

Lake Fedaia has an extension of about 2 km and is located at over 2000 meters above sea level, 2054 to be precise.

Its origin is recent and the formation is artificial: in fact, the lake was formed following the construction of the dam built in 1955, which collects the waters of the Marmolada glacier. A little further east another smaller lake has been created, perhaps originating from a morainic barrier.
