Adrano is an Italian town in the metropolitan city of Catania in Sicily.
It takes its name from the Sicilian god Adranon. It is one of the oldest of Sicily whose cult in the Etnea area (period 400 BC) was particularly followed.
It is an area full of orchards and orange groves, with a prevalence of pistachio and prickly pear. Famous for its pistachio-based pastry. Spherical or conical shaped rice arancini are famous.
