After decades of improper use and careful restoration, in 2006 Villa Borghese reopened to the public the Orangery building which houses the works of contemporary art donated by the generous and passionate collector Carlo Bilotti to the city of Rome.
These are works collected in years of frequentation and friendship with the most significant artists of our time.
Among the works donated, there is a substantial nucleus of works by the pictor optimus Giorgio de Chirico, flanked by works by Gino Severini, Andy Warhol, Larry Rivers and Giacomo Manzù.
