The church of San Carlo Borromeo is a Catholic church located in Vienna, in the southern part of the Karlsplatz. It is located on the edge of the first district, 200 meters off the Ringstrasse.
It is one of the most eminent Baroque churches across the Alps and boasts an imposing elliptical dome. Restored at the end of the 1980s, it is known for its dome and its two columns on the sides, decorated with bas-reliefs, as well as for its role as an architectural counterweight to the Musikverein and the Viennese University of Technology.
