The Nederlands Scheepvaartmuseum (lit. "Netherlands Navigation Museum"), also called Rijksmuseum Nederlands Scheepvaart, is the largest museum in the world dedicated to navigation and is based in Amsterdam.
The museum (closed to the public from 8 January 2007 to 2011 for restoration) is dedicated to the history of navigation in the Netherlands from antiquity to the present day and has been located since 1973 in the former warehouse of the admiralty, on an islet of the Oosterdok.
