The Anne Frank House is a house-museum in Amsterdam, set up since 1960 at nr. 263-265 of Prinsengracht, or in what was part of the house (located at nr. 263) where the young German Jewess Anne Frank and her family, together with the Van Pels, remained hidden for two years (from 1942 to 1944) , during the Nazi occupation in the Netherlands.
The house is nicknamed "the secret annex" (Achterhuis, literally "back home" from Dutch).

In the room that belonged to Anne Frank, there are hanging photos of famous actresses collected by the girl.
