The church of Santa Engrácia is a 17th century church located in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. Converted to the National Pantheon (Panteão Nacional in Portuguese) in 1916, it is famous for its impressive dome, which can be seen all the way to the eastern outskirts of the city. The ancient church, which was located on the same place as the current one, was destroyed in 1681.

Construction work for a new Baroque church began in 1682, the year which marked the beginning of a saga that believed that the church of Santa Engrácia would never be completed, and the unfinished structure for a certain period was also used. to military deposit. This saga proved wrong 284 years later, when the church was completed in 1966. Inside, the floor is in colored marble and topped by the gigantic dome.
