The Island of Elba is an island located between the Piombino channel to the east, about 10 kilometers from the coast, the Tyrrhenian Sea to the south and the Corsica channel to the west.
It is the largest of the islands of the Tuscan archipelago, and the third largest in Italy (223 km²). Elba, together with the other islands of the archipelago (Pianosa, Capraia, Gorgona, Montecristo, Giglio and Giannutri) is part of the Tuscan Archipelago National Park.
Administratively it is divided into 7 municipalities, which are part of the province of Livorno. The great crossing of Elba on foot is an opportunity to get to know the Island of Elba in an active and complete way.

You will visit various natural environments, from cliffs to dunes, from garrigue to Mediterranean scrub, from rocky peaks to flowering plateaus, learning about a large number of plant species and sometimes making unexpected encounters with wild animals such as wild boars and mouflons.
During the excursions there will be the opportunity to stop in the historic towns of Portoferraio, Capoliveri, Marciana, Porto Azzurro, Marina di Campo, Rio Elba, San Piero and visit the MUM mineralogical museum and the Napoleonic residences.
