Museum of the Alps

The Museum of the Alps is located on the first floor of the Opera Carlo Alberto, the main building of the fortress and to reach it a real ascent is carried out, thanks to futuristic external crystal elevators that from the medieval village of Bard, at the foot del Forte, climb up to the fortress. From there, along an imposing glass and steel staircase, you reach the heart of the fortress complex, where the Museum is located.

The 29 rooms that make up the exhibition are divided into four sections designed to lead the visitor to the discovery of the Alps. Each of them is left to the story of its witnesses: the naturalist, the geographer, the anthropologist, the meteorologist who describe through short video interventions the theme of the respective section, directly involving the public in the experience of the narration.
