The Roman amphitheater of Cagliari is a Roman-era building located in Cagliari.
The amphitheater is half excavated in the rock while the remaining part was in white limestone, and the south facade, now disappeared, must have exceeded 20 meters in height. The amphitheater hosted fights between animals, between gladiators and between specialized fighters who were also recruited outside Sardinia.
Equal punishment was performed in front of the exultant crowd as well as theatrical performances.
