Skellig Islands

Skellig Michael or also Grande Skellig (Great Skellig), is the larger islet of the two Skellig islands.

Located about 17 km from the coasts of Kerry, Ireland, it is a place of considerable importance both in terms of landscape and naturalistic, but above all for the presence on its summit of an extraordinary and not very accessible monastery of Christian origin built in 588 and become heritage of the humanity protected by UNESCO in 1996.
