Cervia City


Cervia is an Italian town of 28 727 inhabitants in the province of Ravenna in Romagna. Cervia is considered one of the main summer tourist destinations of the Romagna Riviera and northern Italy, thanks to its 9 km of beach.

Cervia is located on the coast of the Adriatic Sea, 20 km south of Ravenna, at an altitude of 5 m asl. Between Milano Marittima, Cervia, Pinarella and Tagliata there is a pine forest of about 260 hectares, 27 of which are part of the park natural. Together with the natural reserve of the salt pans, which occupies an area of ​​827 hectares, in which avocets, knights of Italy, egrets and mallards nest and pink flamingos transit, it forms the southern station of the Po delta regional park. north of the municipal area it is bathed by the river Savio which marks the border with the municipality of Ravenna.

Cervia has more than 9 km of beaches. A project with ARPA is active for the control of water, in different points between the beach of Milano Marittima and that of Pinarella. The results guaranteed the city the Blue Flag of the Foundation for Environmental Education, for the twenty-first time in 2016.
