Villa Badoèr, called La Badoèra, is a Venetian villa located in Fratta Polesine (Rovigo), designed by the architect Andrea Palladio in about 1554-1555 and built in the years 1556-1563 on commission by Francesco Badoèr. It is the first villa in which the Paduan architect fully used a pronaos with a pediment on the facade, as well as the only one built in the Polesine territory.
The rooms on the main floor are finely decorated with "beautifully invented grotesques from Giallo Fiorentino". The building, together with the other Palladian villas in the Veneto region, has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1996. The northern barchessa of the villa has housed the National Archaeological Museum of Fratta Polesine since 2009.
The villa was commissioned in 1554 by the "Magnificent Signor Francesco Badoero", a modest prominent figure, devoid of public relevance but descendant of an illustrious Serenissima family, who, following the partnership with the Loredàn family and the subsequent marriage with Lucetta, daughter of Francesco Loredan, he had inherited the large bottom of the Vespara near the Fratta.
