The Civic Theater of Merano, also known as Teatro Puccini, is a theater inaugurated in 1900 in Merano (Art Nouveau Stile) on a project by the architect Martin Dülfer (1859-1942) of Munich.
It stands out for its eclectic forms from the end of the century, inspired by the international Jugendstil. The theater was later, in the period of fascism, named after Giacomo Puccini.
Today, after an overall restoration, it is considered one of the most significant buildings of the early twentieth century in Merano. It is managed by the "Theater and Kurhaus Management Authority", by the municipality of Merano and by the tourist company. It hosts theatrical performances both in German and in Italian, as well as concerts, musical performances and dance essays.
