The Gallery of the Tapestries in the Vatican Museums is an exhibition space where Flemish tapestries made in Brussels by the workshop of Pieter van Aelst at the time of Clement VII (1523-1534) can be found on cartoons by Raphael's students.
They were first exhibited in the Sistine Chapel in 1531, and set up for exhibition in this Gallery in 1838.
