French Embassy in Italy - Farnese Palace

The French Embassy in Italy is the diplomatic representation of the French Republic first to the Kingdom of Italy and then to the Italian Republic.

It has its headquarters in Rome, in Piazza Farnese, where it occupies Palazzo Farnese.

In order to open the Palazzo Farnese to a large public, the French embassy in Italy has entrusted the organization of the visits to the "Inventer Rome" association: http://inventerrome.com
The tour allows you to discover the Sangallo atrium, the courtyard, the garden, the Hercules hall with its tapestries inspired by Raphael's frescoes, and the Carracci gallery.

N.B: The Inventer Rome association is the only one authorized by the French embassy to organize visits to Palazzo Farnese.

Since 2012, the French Embassy in Italy has also taken care of the diplomatic relations of France with the Republic of San Marino.

Palazzo Farnese is also home to the Résidence de France and the École française (the French archaeological school of Rome).

The Consulate of France is instead located at number 251 of the Via Giulia, behind the same Palazzo Farnese.
