Villa Foscarini-Rossi is a seventeenth-century Venetian villa located in Stra, along the Riviera del Brenta, not far from Venice and Padua.
For the construction of the Villa, which was to best represent the importance of the family, the noble Venetian Foscarini family commissioned the illustrious architect Vincenzo Scamozzi and entrusted frescoes and decorations to artists such as Pietro Liberi and Domenico de 'Bruni.
Today, after an important restoration that has brought the architecture and frescoes back to their ancient splendor, Villa Foscarini-Rossi has been opened to the public.
Now it is the Rossimoda Business Museum, in fact the Shoe Museum (Rossini Footwear Museum), permanent guest in the Venetian Villa, was born from the initiative of comm. Luigino Rossi, president of the shoe factory, to exhibit the most representative pieces created by the company in the course of its activity. The structure was inaugurated on June 24, 1995, the anniversary of the company's fifty years of activity.
