Milan Central Station - Virtual Tour 360°Milan Central Station, inaugurated in 1931, is a masterpiece of Art Nouveau architecture and one of the main railway hubs in Europe.
Designed by architect Ulisse Stacchini, the station represents a symbol of the progress and ambition of fascist Italy.
Its construction was a colossal undertaking, requiring the digging of a huge pit and the demolition of several buildings. The station was inaugurated by King Vittorio Emanuele III and quickly became an important point of reference for the city of Milan.
Over the years, Milan Central Station has undergone several expansions and renovations. The last one dates back to 2011, on the occasion of the Expo. Today the station is a lively place teeming with life, frequented by millions of travelers every year.
