It was designed by Giuseppe Mengoni and inaugurated in 1877 in Art Nouveau style (A beautiful example of Italian Liberty).
The gallery is an architectural work in neo-Renaissance style, with a cross structure formed by two perpendicular arms covered by a glass and iron vault. The intersection of the two arms is topped by a 47 meter high glass dome.
The Vittorio Emanuele II Gallery is one of the most famous and popular places in Milan (Italy).
