Church of Santa Maria of Oration and Death

The Church of Santa Maria of Oration and Deathis a Roman Catholic church located in the Regola district of Rome, Italy.

It was designed by Ferdinando Fuga and completed in 1737.

The church is dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows and hosts the confraternity of Santa Maria dell'Orazione e Morte, which is dedicated to assisting those condemned to death.

The facade of the church is in Baroque style, with a richly decorated portal and two windows.

The interior has a single nave, with three chapels on each side.

The main chapel houses an altarpiece depicting the Madonna Addolorata, the work of Sebastiano Conca.

The other chapels host works by other artists, including Giovanni Battista Gaulli and Baciccio.

The church is open to the public every day from 8:00 to 12:00 and from 15:00 to 18:00.
