The Alba Fucens archaeological area (also known as Alba Fucente in the 20th century) is a site built in the 4th century BC. as a colony of Latin law in an elevated and well-fortified position of about 34 hectares at 966 m a.s.l. on the slopes of Mount Velino in Abruzzo.
It is located in the contemporary municipality of Massa d'Albe (AQ) close to the medieval village of Albe, a few kilometers north of the city of Avezzano.
