The Pineta of Terzigno

The path for walking and training through a rich vegetation of fragrant essences, located in the locality of Piana Tonda, is a flat path designed for pleasant walks even for people with motor and visual difficulties, made with modern techniques of naturalistic engineering and the use of natural materials.

The walkway consists of a large wooden platform that crosses an area with a substrate of recent lava on which a pine forest was planted in the past, now being recovered. The route is designed to enjoy, in an area of ??just 3 hectares, the scenic beauty of Vesuvius and the silences interrupted only by the birds singing typical of these environments.

The track makes continuous curves and changes of direction, which can only be perceived, thanks to the ease of the walk, from the changes of scenery. It goes from stretches in the pine forest to sunny areas of Mediterranean scrub, to stretches of substrate of pyroclasticites.

For a good part of the walk you can enjoy the profile of the western side of the volcano. The route also always allows the visitor to be close to the essences present, so that in addition to enjoying the view, they can perceive the smells and emotions of contact.

The path is an excellent destination as well as for tourists who wish to know and appreciate the typical environments of Vesuvius in a relatively small space in a path that does not detract from the beauties and atmospheres of the Park, even for sportsmen, who along the way can find the ideal conditions for their workouts.
