From the classics of the past, to the unique pieces donated by the industry celebrities, as the the original Space Invaders coin-op, and the Doom Master Disks, visitors will discover the evolution of a young and ever changing art form.
Thanks to the permanent exhibitions, temporary exhibitions and events, VIGAMUS describes the evolution of an surprising and wonderful world as Video Game, in an accessible way for those approaching for the first time, and exciting for everyone who already loves it.
The central exhibition is divided into thematic cores, which trace the history of the video game starting from the first console marketed, the Magnavox Odyssey, up to the latest developments in contemporary gaming, such as the works of Rockstar Games.
The individual areas of the path examine the most significant and interesting phenomena in videogame history, such as the birth of Commodore, whose machines would have paved the way for today's conception of personal computers, or the era of Infocom textual adventures, among most complex and fascinating examples of interactive storytelling ever made.
Over 450 pieces, accompanied by more than 110 panels that illustrate the historical context and the background; 20 video retrospectives, lasting over 200 minutes, allow visitors to see the video games of yesterday and today firsthand.
